Well it rained this weekend so I didn't get to work on my flower bed project. No new tips there.
I HAVE been looking/listening to "get your life organized" stuff online tho and I guess i can share some of the things I've implemented there:
DO IT NOW
This is HUGE for me. I have been a terrible procrastinator. There are so many things that only take a minute or two to complete if I do it RIGHT then... and then its done! This is especially true for things like making the bed, putting things away, unloading the dishwasher, swapping the laundry, and just basic picking up around the house.
MAKE LISTS
Again, HUGE for me! I have always been PRETTY good at remembering what needs to be done. My problem is adding to the list in my brain and doing OTHER things before the things that TRULY need to be done. Seeing things in print helps tremendously. More than helping me get things done, my lists help me prioritize and keep on track.
PLAN YOUR OUTFIT FOR THE NEXT DAY
Okay, I plan mine for the week, but the principle is the same. Once I get my clothes picked out for the week, I hang them back in my closet. Each night, I pull out the next day's outfit and hang it on the outside of my closet. I pull out my shoes and pick out my jewelry too. If your outfit is hanging on the door, shoes sitting on the floor underneath, jewelry in place, purse swapped out (if need be), there is NO scrambling around looking for anything in the morning. Just slip your clothes on and go.
Those are the biggest helps I have implemented so far.
What do you do to help keep your life organized?
