I'm pretty sure it was God's doing. I won't go into the whole story...but my mom just went through a 9 hour surgery yesterday to remove stage 4 tongue cancer and a couple of lymph nodes in her neck. She really only had any noticiable symptoms around the beginning of May...so things have happened so fast. She hasn't smoked in 30 years and doesn't drink so like you, we don't know why she got this type of cancer. She is doing very well today...and they feel like they got all the cancer out and she still has 40% of her tongue and should be able to regain full use of it with time & therapy. I'm concerned about the side effects and all with radiation (and/or chemo) that she will need to go through later after she's healed from surgery. But we are trusting that God is in control of everything! I pray that everything goes well for you and that the Lord continues to fill you with peace that passes all understanding!
